Day 1 - 4/8/08

Wow! You think you had a bad day!

It started out normal enough, though I started to wish that I had some more space. Talk about being careful what you wish for.

As I sat in my place--you know, your typical fluid filled, anti-gravitational, sensory deprived sack of waters--I started to think that I wanted more. Don't get me wrong the rent was great, all utilities included, I never had to clean up, and the best part was a 24/7 all you can eat buffet! It was fine, all the kids my age had basically the same set up, but something was telling me that there was more and I just had to find out what it was.

Then, as if someone from above heard my prayers, a bright light appeared. I went toward it and that's when everything changed.

Suddenly, (at exactly 12:16 pm on April 8, 2008) I was cold, I was hungry, it was bright, and it was loud. At that instant I started to yearn for my old place back, but, get this, they changed the lock on me! I couldn't get back. I mean, I knew the housing market was bad, but give me a break!

It was a whirlwind of activity. People I didn't even know were poking me, proding me, trying to clean me, and all I wanted was to go home. The best they could do is wrap me tightly in a blanket, put a hat on me, and try to mimic my home. Who do they think they're fooling?

I'm not so worried about it now because I have this great person called "Mommy" to take care of me. Here's one of our first pictures together:

She gives me all the food I need, and when she wraps me in a blanket it feels like I'm home. There's also someone called "Daddy" but he can't stop crying long enough for me to get to know anything about him.

We now live in what can only be described as a halfway house, apparently we are going to move to a place called Ukranian Village soon. (What's that all about? We're not Ukranian and it's not a village.) Oh! and get this! I have to live with a roomate. OMG! Apparently, his name is Sammy, he's four and can't walk upright, never talks, and still needs to be picked up after. Sounds like a real winner. I hope he doesn't embarass me when my friends come over.

All this excitement is makeing me sleepy. I'll post again soon, in the meantime check out some more pictures:

Love to All!
